About Mr. Shaida

Mr Azhar Shaida is an experienced Harley Street ENT consultant with a special interest in otology (ear disease), hearing loss and auditory implants.

He provides a comprehensive general ENT service, and his areas of special interest are complex ear surgery, cochlear and auditory implants and paediatric ENT surgery. He is Clinical Lead for Otology and Auditory Implants at The Royal National ENT Hospital / UCLH.

His research interests include the restoration of hearing and advances in auditory implant surgery, and he is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the UCL Ear Institute.

He reviews articles for a number of journals and is Assistant Editor for the Journal of Laryngology and Otology.

He is actively involved in teaching, and regularly lectures on national and international courses, as well as examining for Medical School and Royal College of Surgeons exams.

He also has a deep interest in quality and safety and is Clinical Governance Lead for the RNENTEDH Division at UCLH.
